I’ve been harping on the importance of adjusting our grape varieties to our climate, which in most of California is quite a bit hotter than the regions of the world where most of our grapes come from.  Now an Australian study is making a similar point in the context of global warming.

I don’t know how people make this stuff up.  I can’t imagine anyone in the business thinks things are rosy in the wine business these days.  The figures I see tell a different story:  wine sales are down, particularly in the higher priced parts of the market.
